Sharks relishing playing in another Currie Cup final as Du Preez and Fassi are elevated to starting team.
Sharks coach Robert du Preez believes that there will be a lot of pressure on Western Province as the home side in Saturday’s Currie Cup final at Newlands. At the same time Du Preez says they are grateful to be playing in another final and the winner will be determined by the team that performs best on the day. Du Preez has made two changes to his team with Springbok flank Jean-Luc du Preez starting ahead of Jacques Vermeulen while 19-year-old backline sensation Aphelele Fassi will start on the wing in place of the injured veteran Lwazi Mvovo. Du Preez commended his team’s leadership group and believes the camaraderie in the side will stand the team in good stead in the final.
