Data Costs

The Data Services Market Inquiry public hearing held in South Africa's capital Pretoria ends today*. Hosted by the country's Competition Commission, the Inquiry seeks to evaluate features in the market creating high data prices. This, as there are numerous complaints of high data prices restricting the advancement of lower-income communities. The Inqury has heard that South Africans pay seven times more for data than consumers in other African countries.
