Province win key top of the table clash over Sharks

Western Province made it five wins in five games in the Currie Cup, as they beat the Sharks 50-28 at Newlands Rugby Stadium in a top-of-the-table clash. Province scored seven tries to the Sharks’ four, but it was not all clean sailing for Province, who after racing into a 31-7 lead, saw the Sharks come back to just three points behind. Sharks coach Robert Du Preez says it was disappointing to lose, but he credits Province for the execution and taking advantage of their mistakes.
