It has been reported that at least 80 inmates have escaped after gunmen stormed a prison in the Northwest of Cameroon. This comes as tensions have heightened in the country as English speaking separatists have been battling for forge an independent state in country, called Ambazonia. The conflict between the separatists and Cameroon’s military intensifies before the scheduled October 7, which will see the current President Paul Biya running for president once again, since being in power since November 1982.
