A campaign focusing on HIV prevention and self-testing, especially among the youth, has been launched in South Africa and Cote D'ivoire. AIDS remains the leading cause of death among 10- to 24-year-olds in Africa. The 3 year partnership between the MTV Staying Alive Foundation and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, will introduce storylines on HIV innovation into the award-winning drama series MTV Shuga. The programme targets hard-to-reach populations in French- and English-speaking African countries.
