South Sudan authorities want a face to face meeting between President Salva Kiir and his opponent Riek Machar

The authorities in South Sudan want the June 20 face-to-face meeting between President Salva Kiir and his principal political and military opponent, Riek Machar, to take place in South Africa.
The authorities regard South Africa as "neutral ground" and are now urging the Inter-governmental Authority on Development who is organising the meeting, to shift the venue from the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, to South Africa.
