14 Jun African Youth day

Millennials (also known as Generation Y) are usually referred to by researchers as the generation born between 1981 and 1996 and are the first generation in the new millennium. According to Africa report, millennials make up more than a third of Africa’s population. This generation is known as having lives which revolves around their mobile phones, don’t stay long working in a company unless they are growing and are slowly becoming well known as change-makers in their communities.

To further expound on this generation we are joined by:

• Jack Mthembu (26)Entrepreneur Runs youth camps for high school learners to teach them responsibility, leadership skills and self-development.

• Thabang Dlamini (23)Entrepreneur Runs a “Thuma Mina courier services” – helping elderly people in his community who cannot access service runs their errands for them using his bicycle

• Matlhabeli Molaoli (Lesotho)African Leadership Academy student and TED talk organiser

• Muzwakhe Sigudhla, Founder of the Southern African Youth Movement to help the young in the SADC
