Simulating Mars with Zac Trolley

Canadian Electrical Engineer and Future Mars Settler Zac Trolley joins us on this episode of Quintessential Engineering. He worked as the Crew Engineer on a 2 week Martian Simulation. He was tasked with maintaining the infrastructure of the Habitat and other tasks. He and 5 other researchers spent 2 weeks in isolation living as if they were on the Red Planet. They conducted research on NASA plant growth systems, dust accumulation, material abrasion for space suits, and participated in many outreach activities including recording 360 video for VR applications
