Mtawarira welcomes softened stance by SA rugby on foreign - based players

Veteran Springbok Tendai Mtawarira has welcomed the decision by SA Rugby to soften its stance over the selection of foreign-based players. The national body announced earlier this month that they will no longer be hard and fast on the 30-Test ruling, which meant that overseas players with only that number of caps will be considered for selection. It means national coach Rassie Erasmus will be allowed to pick overseas players more freely and Sharks prop Mtawarira says the decision was a good move that will add value to the Springbok jersey.
