Hijacked Buildings in JHB CBD

A non-profit human rights organisation, representing families living in an abandoned Doornfontein building, In Johannesburg, whose wall collapsed on Monday, killing three children, has lashed out at the City of Johannesburg for failing the families with safe alternative accommodation. The Socio-Economic Rights Institute of South Africa (SERI) says occupants of collapsed building had been waiting for emergency housing for 8 months.
