Nigeria is once again battling with the case of an outbreak of Lassa Fever in 10 states

After successfully combating the outbreak of monkey pox which affected a number of people in the last quarter of 2016, Nigeria is once again battling with the case of an outbreak of Lassa Fever in 10 states. The pandemic which first occurred in the North Eastern State of Borno in 1969, has claimed dozens of lives in the current outbreak, with other suspected cases confined to designated wards in hospital for expert attention.
