SA to provide quality primary and preventative healthcare services
South Africa's Health Minister, Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi says the country has to provide quality primary and preventative healthcare services to the millions of commuters that the taxi industry carries on a daily basis if the corner is to be turned on diseases such as HIV/AIDS, TB, Diabetes and Cancer. He was one of the speakers at the launch of a health promotion campaign targeted at the industry in the country's capital, Pretoria yesterday. Dubbed the PHILA Taxi Industry Campaign, the initiative aims to strengthen and intensify the delivery of health and wellness services in the taxi industry as countries gear themselves up to mark World AIDS Day this coming Friday.
