14 Nov State does not have sufficient financial capacity to provide totally free higher education: Heher Commission Report

Students at various Universities have expressed disappointment with the recommendations of the Heher Commission Report into the Feasibility of Fee-Free Higher Education and Training in South Africa. Released yesterday, the report finds that the state does not have sufficient financial capacity to provide totally free higher education and training to all who are unable to finance their own education. This falls short of university students demands for free education for all.
