6 Nov SASSA social grant payment debacle under the spotlight again

There seems to be a stand-off between the social security agency SASSA and the Post Office, with regard to taking over the payment of social grants, when the extended CPS contract expires in March 2018. SASSA has had more delays in contracting the South African Post Office (Sapo) to take over social grant payments from incumbent Cash Paymaster Services. Now, the Post Office concedes, that it will be difficult for it to meet its deadline, if an agreement with SASSA, is not reached soon.
