9 Oct SAICA receives widespread requests from stakeholders to take stand against unethical behaviour by members

The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, SAICA says it has received widespread requests from its stakeholders as well as the general public to take a strong stand against unethical behaviour by its members. SAICA has expressed disappointment that the chartered accountancy profession in South Africa has received a significant reputation setback, following the developments around the auditing firm KPMG which employed members of SAICA. On the Forum@8 Sakina Kamwendo asks what should be done to restore trust in the chartered accountancy profession with South African Institute of Chartered Accountants CEO, Terence Nombembe and Chief economist at Pan African Capital, Dr Iraj Abedian.
