2030 Generation Debate

On the back of the launch of UNICEF’s Generation 2030:Africa Report, thought leaders unpack the implications of Africa’s rapid population growth over the next 35 years – where the continent’s population is expected to double, and the child population will increase by two-thirds by 2050. What are the likely consequences of rapid population growth on social dynamics, the labour market, access to resources, urban environments, migration patterns, poverty reduction, and security? During a panel discussion, they seek to find out how can we create an enabling environment for our children and the youth to succeed and understand what the risks are if we don’t provide an environment of opportunities?
