Civil Society organisations in Lesotho have called on the government to ensure the security of former Prime Minister and leader of opposition All Basotho Convention, ABC, Tom Thabane, as well as leader of the Basotho National Party, BNP, Thesele Maseribane as a matter of urgency. Human rights body, Transformation Resource Centre, TRC, says government must establish a commission of inquiry to explain its position or dismiss allegations that that these opposition politicians are threatened by elements in the army, after Thabane and Maseribane fled the country fearing for their lives.
