#PODCAST Active Citizens Movement approach the State Capture Commission to lobby for the protection of whistle-blowers

By Newsbreak Producer Genevieve Lanka - The Active Citizens Movement (ACM) say if the scourge of corruption in South Africa is to be rooted out, urgent interventions to be made to protect whistle-blowers. The organisation has written to the Commission of Enquiry into State Capture suggesting amendments to current legislation relating to the protection of whistle-blowers. This is in response to a call made by Deputy Chief Justice, Raymond Zondo, for submissions on possible changes to the current act. Last month, the Deputy Chief Justice raised alarm over threats made to whistle-blowers at the commission.
