#PODCAST Controversial property developer Woodglaze fined R7.5 million for environmental damage at Phoenix

Representatives from the company appeared in the Durban magistrate Court after pleading guilty to contravention of the National Environmental Management Waste Act, contravention of the National Water Act and two counts of contravention of the National Environmental Management Act. Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority, Natasha Kara, says the charges relate to two pieces of property that was being developed as low income homes by Woodglaze Trading at Phoenix, north of Durban. Kara says the charges were brought against Woodglaze by the eThekwini Municipality........
