More details are emerging on the allegations against Health Minister Zweli Mkhize. It is alleged that a communications company called digital vibes was awarded an 82-million- rand contract by his department for COVID-19 projects. KwaZulu-Natal based Digital vibes does not have a big history or footprint in the communications sector. The company used Mkhize's long-serving personal assistant Tahera Mather, as well as another close associate, Naadhira Mitha, as paid consultants. Digital vibes was also awarded a contract from the Co-operative Governance department during Mkhize's short stint as minister in that portfolio.
