TEXT: Mkhize says the procurement of the vaccines has been a complex process that required negotiations with multinational manufacturers. South Africa seems to be turning the tide on the second wave of infections with just 792 infections recorded in the last reporting cycle along with 97 COVID19-related deaths. To date almost 500-thousand people in South Africa have registered to be part of the vaccination programme.
