Haemophilia Awareness Day

The 17th of April marks World Haemophilia Day. Haemophilia is an inherited genetic disorder that impairs the body's ability to make blood clots, which is a process that the body needs to stop bleeding. This results in people bleeding longer after an injury, easy bruising, and an increased risk of bleeding inside joints or the brain. We are joined in studio by Tebogo Mphahlele Deputy Chairperson of the South African Haemophilia Foundation and a patient of haemophilia.
