“His Presence Has Made The Difference”- Chiefs Fans

--:--
After a disastrous start to their DStv Premiership campaign, Kaizer Chiefs seem to have finally found a rhythm with two wins in a row, including an impressive 2-1 victory away at Cape Town City. The results have seen them jump from 14th to 8th on the log standings, as Amakhosi look to restore faith in their troubled side. While the Soweto giants have seen improvements in performances from senior players who had been under fire, as well as youngsters who have impressed in recent matches, one player’s return to the starting XI has been singled out as the key difference to the team.

In the SL Podcast’s latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Chiefs fans respond to the question “Who has been the key player in Chiefs’ recent return to form?”, and the almost unanimous pick is their star striker Samir Nurkovic, who recently made his comeback after an injury kept him sidelined. The Serbian was Chiefs’ breakout performer last season, scoring 13 times as Amakhosi narrowly lost the league to Sundowns. On his return to the starting line-up, Nurkovic bagged the decisive goal in their win over Amazulu, and he featured in their win at Cape Town City. In the full podcast, PSL fans also react to the recent Tshwane Derby, which saw SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns share a point.
