The huge increase in the numbers of plastic water containers of all shapes and sizes migrating to the Western Cape has created a bit of a headache for packaging recyclers in the province, and plans are underway to bale used bottles and send them to Gauteng where there’s sufficient capacity in the recycling plants.

John Richards talked to CHERI SCHOLTZ, CEO of PET Recycling Company about the state of recycling in SA and their plans to co-ordinate recycling arrangements.
