Hanover Park residents to stage march to protest gang violence

Gang related violence in Hanover Park and Manenberg has reached epic levels recently, with daily gun battles being played out in front of residents. Last week a 16-year-old schoolgirl’s life was brutally cut short when she was gunned down allegedly by gangsters in Hanover Park. Arrests have yet to be made in connection with the murder of Octavia Johanessen. The teenager was hit by a stray bullet near her home earlier this week, during gun battles between rival gangs. Hanover Park residents plan to stage a protest this week.
