Palestinian delegation IN SA

--:--
South African Jews for Free Palestine (SAJFP) are hosting four representatives of Palestinian society in Cape Town this week. Their visit stems from a trip undertaken by a South African group, in May 2015 to the South Africa Forest in Galilee, in present day Israel. The forest- which is planted through donations to the Jewish National Fund (JNF) - covers the Palestinian village of Lubya.

The activists are from organisations such as Adrid, Zochrot and Adalah. They are my guests in studio today.

Guests:

Naif Hujjo was born in Lubya from which he and his family were expelled in July 1948. He is a community leader, writer and educator living in Deir Hanna near his destroyed village. Hujjo is a board member of ADRID, the Association for the Defense and Rights of the Internally Displaced Palestinians in Israel.

Mousa Sagheir is former teacher, an organiser and member of ADRID. His family was expelled from the village of Husha. Sagheir lives in Shefa 'Amr, some two kilometers away from Husha.

Umar al-Ghubari is co-ordinator of the Space for Return initiative of Zochrot, the Israeli NGO which raises awareness about the ongoing Nakba in the broader Jewish Israeli public to create the conditions for the return of Palestinian refugees and a shared life in Israel. Al-Ghubari is a group counselor, political educator and documenter of the Palestinian Nakba. He is from the Palestinian village, Mshierfeh near Nazareth.
