Sanctity of Tana Baru Raises Concern
--:--
Last week, we picked up an article on Groundup about issues between the Tana Baru Trust and a family living in the Tana Baru cemetery for 32 years. Now we know that the Tanu Baru is of special significance for Muslims as it is the resting place of some of the earliest and respected Muslim settlers of South Africa including Tuan Guru. And what this article says is that community members want to relocate this family, because they are worried about the sanctity and safety of the burial grounds. Well we gonna chat more to Dr Aadiel Bassier, who is the chair of the Tana Baru Trust
