Starting off with Olympic news…About a week ago the new board of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) was elected and Gideon Sam retained his Presidency seat beating his Deputy Hajeera Kajee to the main seat. Kajee ended up retaining her seat as the Deputy beating Jace Naidoo to that position. But she could’ve found stiff competition had someone like veteran sports administrator and Boxing South Africa (BSA) Chairperson Ntambi Ravele not found ineligible for these elections. In one of the reasons for non-compliance, it’s said that because BSA is not a federation, Ravele couldn’t stand for elections…
